"Once you've lost a part of your heart...Where do you find it again?"
Name: Eve O'malley
Warrior name: Quailkit/Quailpaw/Quailfur
Gender:
Female
Age: Six moons
Family:
Regina;mother;unknown
Diego;father;unknown
Ruth;sister;alive;played by Ana
Dante;brother;unknown
Mary;sister;unknown
Rank: Kit/apprentice as soon as she is accepted into the clan!
Current allegiance: Rogue until she is accepted into Roseclan.
Personality: It was the heaviness of having to grow up too soon that changed her. Before the trials of life, the grief and the anger that have settled into her heart, Eve was a playful little thing. Although always wary and a bit shy, she was the first one out of the barn, following close behind her lovely mother, the one to make sure her siblings didn't fall too far behind. She was the one who stayed up late, curled around her sisters as she listened to stories told by her mother and father. Eve was in love with the world. From the bees to the birds, to the leaves and the pebbles. She was in love with the sun and the sun and the stars. But then she was alone and the night wasn't so lovely anymore. She's become so shy, it's almost as if she sinks into herself. She nearly always refuses to make eye contact, and when approached or spoken to, she becomes almost stony and unfeeling, her responses curt and monosyllabic. This is her way of protecting herself. She's scared of losing any more of her loved ones, and has deemed the risk of loving and losing someone unnecessary, so she has chosen not to love at all-of course, it's different with her younger sister, Ruth. Ruth is the only cat Eve was allowed herself to love. She is fiercely protective of her younger sister-when upset, you will most likely see her by her younger sister's side as Ruth is currently the only one who can talk her out of one of her fits. With others her age, you might find her on the sidelines, watching as other kits engage in play but never joining in and has been known to be cruel and destructive when upset. Once her mind is set upon something or someone, whether it's a negative feeling or not, it is not easily changed. And although she is distant, once you have wormed your way into her heart, she is loving and protective and loyal.
Appearance: Eve is a lithe thing with long legs and long triangle shaped ears. Her eyes were large and owl like;a dull amber that compliments her fur. Her fleece is short and thin, varying from dark browns to blacks with a white mask that goes down to her chest-her paws are the color of milk as well. Her tail is long and usually drapes between her legs, and curls when agitated or nervous. She will look relatively the same as she ages.
Short description: A lithe brown and white tabby with large amber eyes.
History: Depending on where you begin her story, it started with a female who lived a wonderful life and a alley cat who's smile was crooked. Diego had loved Ms. Regina from the moment he first rested his gaze upon her. She sat by the window in her two leg's house, fat, warm and content. She did not know grief and loss. She was a cat who was loved and pampered and never had she ever stepped off her porch. Diego, on the other hand, had grown up in the streets. He was skin and bones and street wise and slick and he knew grief and loss.
He wasn't sure what attracted him to the chubby little she cat who recoiled at the sight of mud. He had hated those type of cats;the lucky ones.
But he couldn't hate her.
Not even when she spat at him and yowled like the devil when he got too close to her window. Not even when her twoleg chased him off with a broom. Not even then.
He came back every night and recited stories his mother had told him as a kit to her. Most nights she wouldn't even come to the window, and if she did, she didn't spare him a second glance before she was away.
But on a warm summer night, she came to the window and stayed there. She listened to his stories, and the next night she listened to them again. Weeks went by and every night that troublesome tabby cat came back to her window and he told her stories that made her laugh and made her cry.
And they fell in love. A month or two had long passed before he convinced her to venture outside, and when she did, she fell in love with the world. "I've been so blind." She had murmured into his neck as they curled around each other and watched the stars. "And what do you see now?" Diego asked, gazing over to his lover with a tenderness in his eyes saved only for her.
She smiled and gazed down at her paws before meeting his gaze again. "I see you. And I see our stars."
Each day they fell in love with each other all over again.
Regina left her twoleg behind for Diego and their abandoned barn where they brought new life into the world.
Now, depending on where you began her story, it started with the love between two cats who decided that together, they would make a family.
And on a warm spring night, with her mate curled around her protectively, Regina gave birth to a litter of beautiful kittens.
Their names were Eve, Ruth, Dante and Mary. From the moment they were born, the kits refused to leave each other's side.
But this isn't about Ruth, or Dante, or even Mary.
This story is about the eldest of the litter, and her name was Eve.
Eve was a kitten who adored the world. She chased grasshoppers and smelled flowers and she had a laugh like a welcome mat.
And as much as she loved the world, she loved her family more.
Every morning, she awoke to her siblings curled around her, her parents just beside the ball of sleeping kits, and every night she curled around her siblings and listened to her father tell them stories. He told them stories about his family, about the stars, about the sun and how much it loved the moon.
She did not know grief and loss and everything was perfect.
But such things never last, do they?
Food in the area had begun to grow scarce, and Diego decided that it was he who needed to venture out into the night to find them breakfast for tomorrow.
"Be safe," Regina murmured into his fur. His chest rumbled with a laugh. "Of course, my darling. I'll be home before the sun rises."
With a goodbye kiss to each of his kits, he left.
But he did not return in the morning.
Believing him to just be running late, Regina opted to meet him half way. With her kits behind her, Regina ventured out into the wilderness, and all was calm.
But then it appeared. A large beast with half it's tail appeared from the brush and it stared at the mother and her kits for what seemed forever.
"Mama?" Eve whispered, standing protectively in front of her younger siblings.
"Eve..." The female whispered.
"What?" Eve asked, and she watched as her mother backed up very slowly, blocking the kits from the dog's hungry glare.
"Run, my darlings. Run." Regina murmured, and gave a cry when suddenly the dog charged.
The kits wasted no time in listening to their mother, and sped off, their mother behind them.
Eve tried not to concentrate on the sounds of the dog behind them, or that her brother and youngest sister had fallen behind, or that her mother was crying for them to hurry.
It was Eve and Ruth who made it back to the barn before the others. They tumbled and fell and clashed into each other as they pressed themselves into the darkest corner of the barn, shaking bodies pressed closely together. No matter how hard she tried, Eve couldn't stop herself from shaking. It was as if her own skeleton had taken control and it rattled and rattled. With fear plaguing their young hearts, the two sisters waited for their mother and two siblings to join them. An hour passed.
Another hour. And then another. There was a heaviness that had clouded her heart and mind, and something deep within her whispered, "they aren't coming back."
Another hour. And then another. There was a heaviness that had clouded her heart and mind, and something deep within her whispered, "they aren't coming back."
Eve was at a loss for words. Her life had fallen apart in a matter of seconds. Her Eden was destroyed.
"It's okay," came a voice, and Eve turned to stare at her sister. Ruth licked the back of Eve's ears and whispered reassuring things about their father, their mother, about Dante and Mary.
But a day passed and nobody came.
She tried not to sleep. Because when she slept, she dreamed of her family and when she awoke, they were not there and her heart would shatter all over again.
But it was Eve's stubborn side that had driven her out of the barn on the third day; she refused to believe that her family was gone. Mother is waiting for us, she thought to herself as she got ready for departure.

"We have to go see. We can't just sit here and wait anymore, Ru. We have to go see. I have to go see." Eve mumbled as she stood outside the barn, her tail swishing between her legs in annoyance.
Ruth's gaze was nervous, but she refused to let Eve go alone, and so the two sisters left the safety of their barn and retraced their steps.
They shouldn't have. Eve knows that now. She had known that the chances of finding her family alive was slim, but she had just wanted to see.
They hadn't gotten very far when they came face to face with the very animal that had most likely killed their mother and siblings.
And it would have killed them too had the two sisters not fled across the thunderpath and into a twoleg's backyard.
Guilt plagued Eve's heart; she could have gotten them killed. Her impulsiveness had driven her to go and see what she already knew deep down, and because of that, they had encountered the monster itself and she had scarred her little sister further.
Her family was destroyed and all she had left was Ruth.
Her heart was broken but she knew what had to happen next; they were far too young to be on their own. They needed a new home; Eve knew her darling sister needed a new home. She would be strong for Ruth. After all, Ruth was all she had now.
