(Private with Quietpaw and Kuga)
Quietpaw moved silently, low to the ground. Her fur bristled slightly at being in the open area. Why'd her dumb mentor send her here of all places? Didn't he know she preferred the safety of the trees. Of all the cats in her clan, Quietpaw was the best at hunting, spending many days alone in the forest to only practice her skill. She didn't like it when there were no trees about. No place to go if danger occurred. Quietpaw stopped suddenly, eyes narrowing in suspicion as she saw the unclaimed woods looming ahead of her. She glanced back to her clan nervously, she knew she would be scolded for what she was about to do, but she needed to bring prey back to her clan and couldn't stand doing it in this open space any longer.
With a deep breath, Quietpaw raced under the trees of the Unclaimed Woods. She wasted no time in sliding smoothly and silently up the trunk of the first tree. She sank her claws into the first branch with satisfaction at being where she belonged. She leaped upward to the second branch, hauling herself up to stand on its length. She then took in a deep breath and as quiet as an owl in flight, she leaped to the next tree over. Quietpaw was on the hunt, the scent of squirrel, fresh in her mouth and bathing her tongue.
Quietpaw followed the scent, leaping through the trees like a squirrel herself. The treetops were like her home. She spent more time up in the trees than she did in camp. The she-cat froze suddenly and peered through the leaves as she saw the brown, furry body of her prey. It was standing on its branch upright and making some weird call, looking for a mate. Well it wouldn't have time to find one for it was ignorant of the fact it was being hunted.
Quietpaw crouched down even lower, hugging her branch, eyes never leaving her victim. She crept forward, never making a sound. Even her breath barely rustled the leaves hiding her from sight. Quietpaw moved to the end of her branch. As fast as lightning, she leaped! Her claws caught on to the tip of the squirrel's branch, starling it. With a yelp the squirrel took off but Quietpaw was already giving chase. Quietpaw quickly caught up and leaped after the squirrel to the next tree over, hooking her claws into its tail mid leap. The she-cat clutched it firmly in her mouth and allowed herself to fall to the next branch down, hanging onto it her claws, hindquarters dangling down. With a firm kick, Quietpaw scrambled onto the branch, holding the squirrel in her jaws.
Quietpaw turned around and was about to leave the Unclaimed Woods when she heard the sound of a cat approaching. Quietpaw leaned over her branch to look when she saw a tom walking underneath. She held her breath and didn't move a muscle, the cat didn't seem to know she was there. She had that effect on a lot of cats, always startling them. Quietpaw was about to ignore him and go back to her clan when she realized she had no idea how to get home. Squirrel, still clutched in her mouth, Quietpaw slid down the tree, never making a sound. She then stopped in front of them and stared at him, quietly and expectantly.

It was the morning and Kuga was sure that Wolf was going to be hungry when he woke up. He trained in any active noises on in the area. He heard silence and was unsure of his next move. To his relief a hard the fluttering of wings in high bushes. "Hmmm... a quail" He settled his body down for a move. He looked behind him to make sure Wolf had not followed him out here, and proceeded on target. He came to the line separated the woods for Rose Clan. He crossed on bothered by it weight. Kuga crept into the brush and induced fear into the birds heart. As soon as the bird tried to fly away, was slammed down his paws. It soon collected and he marched back to his kit.
As he was walking. he felt presents and he talked a litte further to determine from where the eyes where peering. He heard nothing but in his experience that doesn't mean nothing is there. He down and saw a little thing in from of him. "Oh.. so it was you I felt peering in the shadows. " he said calmly with a mouthful of quail," How can I help you?" He waited for reply, he was older and bigger then this girl, if she meant any harm she would had done so when he was not sure of her location. "Perhaps you are loss kit as well... I could use the company" He laughed boisterously.

Quietpaw slammed her paw down firmly on the ground, not caring for any of the large tom's... jokes? It didn't matter, but Quietpaw unsure why he was laughing. She just stared at him quietly, her gaze unsettling. She then cocked her head to the side and nodded over her shoulder in the direction where she thought the Roseclan border was. She had no time for this foolish tom. She sighed inwardly, losing her patience for his talkativeness. Quietpaw placed her squirrel down carefully before bringing her paw up to indicated a closed mouth, not sure if he would get the message. Most cats wouldn't, after all how many cat did you find who were mute? Afterwards though, once they understood, it didn't take long for them to understand the meaning of her motions and what she wanted. She just hoped this tom was smart enough to understand her silent actions.

"Either you are mute or don't like to talk." He said with certain coldness." I will go that you are mute, because I rather not assume that you are rude." He glanced at the kit she was bigger then wolf, so there was not way she could be kittypet. She of a clan, most like Rose. He guffawed, she was lost like wolf but she retained her sense of direction. " Let meet guess you need me to take you the clan's land? Sure... just let me take this to my kit." he said and began walking in the general location of Wolf

Quietpaw glared at him, fur bristling; she was quickly losing patience. Quietpaw picked up her squirrel and cased after him, paws barely making a sound on the ground. She kept her shoulders low as if trying to hide. Quietpaw was so used to staying low and hiding she didn't even notice the strange posture. Quietpaw quickly slipped alongside the tom, easily keeping pace. She wanted to growl at him to hurry up. She didn't have the time for this. She needed to get back home before her clan noticed she was gone. Quietpaw detected the scent of another cat in the area and fur began to bristle. She didn't like this. She didn't like being surrounded by too many cats. It put her on edge, made her weary and even more suspicious of the tom. Quietpaw found herself tensing up as walked alongside the tom, preparing herself for if he attacked.

Kuganon was aware of her hurry, but certain takes priority over strangers. Wolf was practically family now and he was all he had. He looked back at the little thing, she was seething with anger. "I am sorry.... " He said apologetically," He is just a kit and I have a responsible to take care of my family." He came to a little barrow just below some brushes in a trees. A little werewolf kit slept peacefully inside. Kuganon dropped the bird my the sleeping kit's head. He turned back towards the angry hunter and said," Now that is taking care of let's head back. " He moved quickly between the trees. As if he sent a unwelcome present. After all fresh blood brings new enemies.

Quietpaw leaped to her paws in excitement, eyes widening. Finally! Quietpaw nodded her head vigorously and bolted back the way they had come, not even caring to see if the tom was following. Quietpaw easily followed her fresh scent trail back to where she had first me the tom and settled herself quietly in the clearing to wait for his arrival. In her excitement she had left him behind. Now she seethed on the inside, wanting to move and leave this place behind. She should've waited for him. Leaves crunched and Quietpaw sat up, anxious to get moving and ears perked forward as the tom approached.

The furs on the back Kuganon stood. The little hunter had forgotten for skills of perception. Just a he confirmed his suspicion, a wild dog jump for the bushes and rushed Quiet's position. "Move! Get down." He shouted and increase his speed and he hit the dog from the side. The dog yelped and turned his action towards Kuganon. The dogs stood motionless awaiting the next move of his two enemies, Kuganon and Quiet paw.

Quietpaw whirled around instantly, ducked, and rolled right under the leaping dog just as Kuga came to her aid. Quietpaw leaped to her paws instantly and rushed the dog. With a bark it tried to snap at her exposed belly but Quietpaw barely skimmed past the raised jaws to cling to the dog's back. The dog bucked and kicked underneath Quietpaw but clung on, claws sinking in deep. With a vicious shake, Quietpaw was flung off, landing with a thump on the ground a few tail-lengths away. Quietpaw lied there, stunned, blood seeping from her paws where a few claws were torn out. She forced herself to her paws, ignoring the blinding pain. She stumbled, unable to stand straight, but prepared to face the dog. The dog growled threateningly and lowered it neck, preparing to charge. Quietpaw held her ground, not backing down in the face of the threat. She peeled back her lips to reveal sharp, pointed teeth. No matter what, she wouldn't back down. She didn't care if the dog killed her, she wouldn't be running...

Kuganon stood in front of the little thing. He took the essential blow and exchanged it for a his crippling blow. The dog shrank back, Kuganon was unsure of his faith, this dog was out of his league. He need to press on, he looked back at the little hunter," Little Hunter are you ok?" He said heaving heavily. He was started to bleed for his sides, so he steadied himself. "...Are you ok?" He choked. the dog barked as if to say focus on me, I am your enemy. Kuganon turned and looked at the beast, and said in a steely tone," I'll be right with you..." He turned back to the she cat," I need you to run... I don't know how long I can keep him at bay and tell---"
The dog rushed him mid-sentence, Kuga turned towards him and slid on his belly striking his belly a couple of times and then he jumped back into a clearing. The dog snared infuriatingly, He forgot all about Quietpaw. "COME ON!" the battleborn cat shouted barely able to breath. The dog increased his speed of rush and attacks rocking Kuga. Kuganon fell back and then countered with a cleaving attack to the collar bone. this strike was unexpected and brought the dog to his knees, and Kuganon hit him with a sweeping blow. Like the fury of a righteous god which topples a city. The dogs eyes wandered across the forest floor, before he could stand again. Kuganon's teeth fell in this backside of his neck.
Up the dog rose to meet the attack throwing the cat back. Kuga looked brief in the location of the little hunter direction, but she was there. "Thank goodness..." he said with relief. The dog looked at him questioningly, as if to say that battle was not yet over. Kuganon smiled and braced himself for a battering or even death. "I am sorry, Wolf if I don't make out of this alive." He said and then he charged the savage dog...

Quietpaw bit back her pain, her paws screaming in agony as she raced at the dog. Unlike most other cats, she didn't fear death. She didn't care if she died saving a stranger. Besides, one less burden her clan would have. Quietpaw ran in front of the tom, cutting him off. She then slashed at the dog's muzzles, drawing its attention. It barked and lunged viciously at her. Quietpaw leaped out and shoved the tom in the side, pushing him toward the trees, desperately hoping he would understand to follow her up the trunks. Quietpaw then barged past, the dog hot on her trail. She took in a deep breath before leaping high onto the first branch. She stumbled under the pain as her injured paws slapped down on the bark, spreading her blood. Quietpaw glanced down hoping to see the tom following her up. She could hear the loud barking of the dog as it ran underneath her tree and howled its desire for revenge. Luckily for Quietpaw it couldn't follow her up. Still she feared that soon the dog would tire of Quietpaw and would once again notice the tom...

He looked at the hunter pass turn through to a safe place. The do scrambled to grabbed hold of her. Honestly, Kuganon feared death, but not for himself but for those that depended on him. "Let's put an end to this, eh?" He said in his steely epic tone," We are the initiated... we both know who this ends." The dog turned and bark to say yes. "Little Hunter... you ok?" He asked waiting to see if she was okay. The dog faced his enemy one last time. Kuganon closed his eyes and silenced the pain and the voices of doubt in his head. As soon as the dog closed in and Kuganon back stepped then latched his claw in the neck of the dog. The dog yanked back bring Kuganon forward. Kuga opened his jaws and crunched down on the dogs trachea. The dog yelped one last time.
Kuganon barely roses for the battle. He turned a limped over to the young girl. he spoke smoothly to her," You good?" He looked concerned for her, even he was doing so hot either.

Quietpaw slid down the trunk, annoyed at the tom.She didn't need saving. She never needed saving. Quietpaw just rolled her eyes at him and shoved past, waving her tail for him to show her the way home. The sooner she was out of these woods, the better. Quietpaw winced with every step of her paw but showed no sign of being in pain. She was not going to let this tom see her as anything but a strong, healthy warrior. Quietpaw even hid the limp. The only sign she showed of any injury was the blood splattering the grass from her paws. Quietpaw looked over her shoulder back at the tom and gestured for him to lead the way.

Kuganon was weakened, and he wasn't ashamed of his wounds and scars. He limped ahead of the kit, and smirked. She was still young and did not understand the finepoints in life. Strength to the young folks of today was the appearance of strength, or being tough like enough phase you. He was once, but he never forgot that bigger and stronger cats would break down and cry. Those he would see true strength, but today it is all charade. Kuganon killed that dog for one reason and one reason alone for the secure of his kit. He regretted bring it so close to his son, but he was aware of it until recievely. He looked a back at the little hunter, and tried to undamage her pride," Look little hunter... I don't see you as a damsel in distress, but I have certain responsibilites --" he paused she wouldn't get it. They were on two different frequencies. He was a king or knight his existences was pointless with an audiences, she on the other hand was a ranger or a rogue, whose interest was always on the horizon instead of home. She was too young to understand the complexities of life and he was too old to understand the complexities of her. He sighed and he greeted by the Rose border

Quietpaw lunged forward, racing across the border, glad to be home. Her fur bristled at the thought of ever going back to those terrible woods again. She'd rather be in Roseclan's forest. She turned back to the tom with a glare, never wanting to be around the rogue again. He annoyed her very much. Her heart then fell when she realized what she had left behind: her squirrel. The fight with the dog had made her forget it completely. Quietpaw fumed on the inside, angry at her stupidity and forgetfulness. Now what was she supposed to bring back to her clan. With a sigh, she relaxed her tense shoulders, taking in a deep breath. Though she disliked the tom she was still thankful at him helping her. She turned back to him and waved her tail in goodbye. She also tried to communicate her gratitude with a blink of the eyes. No one had ever helped her like he did. Still she wasn't about to show him too much appreciation.
Quietpaw turned around as if to leave. She then let out a big huff of breath before turning around angrily. Her clan would kill her if she came back empty pawed. Quietpaw stormed past the tom, back into the unclaimed woods. Quietpaw instantly looked into the tree tops and scaled the nearest tree. She winced at the pain that came with the effort, but she ignored it. She loved being among the trees more than anything else. She felt more comfortable up here and she felt like she could travel faster. She looked down at the tom, wondering if he was going to follow her like the annoying cat he was or go back to his ugly kit. Quietpaw snorted, she didn't care. She was used to being alone.
