Character Creation
Name: For clan cats the prefix should describe the cat's appearance while the warrior suffix completes the picture by describing the cat's skills, personality or looks.
Make sure the cat has a suffix corresponding to their rank -kit for kits, -paw for apprentices and a warrior suffix for warriors, queens and elders. For information on names that are not allowed see the Character Rules.
Here is a great list of prefixes.
Check the allegiances to make sure your name isn't already in use.
Age: Young kits, under two moons old, are still completely reliant on their mother/foster mother for food and may only be created in a group with a queen or as a kittypet.
On the other end of the scale warriors, rogues and loners live a tough life. They cannot expect to live beyond the age of 102 moons or 8.5 years.
Cats who lived a soft life for all or part of their life can expect to live longer. Message Leopard for details.
Rank: Choose a rank for your character and make sure it fits their name and age. Below is a list of the ages corresponding to each rank. See Life of a Warrior for development of cats within these ranks. Ages listed in green are soft limits meaning cats outside this range can be created while red limits are fixed and we do not allow ages outside this age to have the rank.
Kit: 0-5
Apprentice: 6-13
Warrior/Queen: 12-80
Elder: 73-102
Apprentice: 6-13
Warrior/Queen: 12-80
Elder: 73-102
Personality: The personality needs to be at least three sentences long. Just describe what makes the cat tick.
Appearance: The appearance section should be at least two sentences in length but preferably longer. At the bare minimum you should describe the cat's size, coat colour, eye colour, any markings and anything else you think is worth mentioning. Try to keep the appearance realistic.
A picture can be used to supplement the written description but not in place of the description.
Short description: It's basically the short one line description of cats in the book. Keep it as short as possible but include size/build (unless the cat is
average), gender, pelt length (if the cat has a notable pelt), colour and possibly markings in brief. The staff will come up with a short description for you if you leave this section blank.
Here are a few examples
A fluffy, lean, grey tabby she-cat with green eyes..
A white tom with ginger patches and blue eyes.
History: The main things to worry about here are keeping the history realistic (nothing that wouldn't be allowed in character is allowed in history) and age appropriate.
Current allegiance: This section is fairly self explanatory. Is your character a rogue, loner, kittypet, a Roseclanner or an Ivyclan cat?
