About Rank Applications
Here at Ivyclan we do not decide high ranks on a first come first served basis. Instead we use applications to decide which characters are suitable for the rank. The staff narrows the list of applicants down to the appropriate roleplayers and the leader or medicine cat then chooses the cat they deem most suitable as their character would. At all times there will be two open threads per clan; one for future deputy and one for future medicine cat. If you would like a position in the future get your application in today. What do we look for in the roleplayer?
- An active, established member
- Comfortable roleplaying with members regardless of post length
- Comfortable using proper spelling, grammar and meeting the minimum post requirements
We do ask that you obey a few rules while submitting these applications to keep the process running smoothly.
Rules:
1. Read through the High Ranks thread before applying.
2. You may apply with one character in each thread. If you apply in multiple threads please keep the preferences section of your form updated. You can post in multiple threads with the same cat if they would suit multiple positions.
3. The form is mostly about your character not about you. Questions like “Why would your cat be a good medicine cat?” are not asking whether you know your herbs and ailments but rather why your cat is a good fit for the position.
4. Update your form occasionally. This may include redoing the application if a new form becomes more suitable. For example you may have a kit apply for a position as a future medicine cat apprentice. If they are made into an apprentice or warrior sections for cats under 7 moons will cease to be relevant and you should fill in the sections for older cats instead.
5. If you wish to apply with a different cat edit your old post and strike out your old application. Put the new application in the same post.
6. All characters even future characters and characters who will only be made if they get the position need to have an approved skelly before applying.
