Unclaimed Woods

A scraggly patch of forest separates the clan territories from twolegplace. Twoleg paths weave through this area. During the day twolegs will travel through this area with dogs or on the small, noiseless monsters kittypets call bicycles. In the areas furthest from the paths, a sparse layer of undergrowth provides some shelter from the elements. The hunting in this area is not as good as in the clan territories but a resourceful hunter can eke out a living on the birds and small rodents that call this area home. In winter and bad weather this area grows nearly deserted as cats and prey alike move to areas with more cover.

Here you will find a list of smaller landmarks within the Unclaimed Woods. If you would like to have your cats 'discover' a landmark (have an idea you'd be willing to share) message Leopard with the details. If you wish to include an image with your description please double check the image is free to use. Try to keep landmarks in line with things you would find in the books, so something like a fallen tree rather than Atlantis or a glowing mountain.

The Playground

On the Twolegplace side of the Unclaimed woods the trees and undergrowth give way to a small clearing. The clearing is dominated by a large, brightly coloured twoleg structure inhabited by twoleg kits during the day. Kittypets call it The Playground, whatever that means. The twoleg paths congregate around this area as do the twolegs and their dogs. Cats only come into this area at night, when the place is deserted, or in bad weather, when the structure provides much needed shelter.
