New Beginnings (NC)(P)

Wolf turned his head to look at Kuga. "This dream wasn't just bad, it was bizarre. It was like it was showing me something. Something I didn't like." Wolf's fur began to bristle in fear. "It made me afraid. Afraid of the future." Wolf shook his head to get rid of the bad thoughts. His head jolted suddenly hen he saw a flash of movement in the corner of his eye. He jumped, twisting to the left, as he landed on a pile of leaves. With a squeal, the mouse hiding underneath took off into the safety of a hollow created by the roots of an oak tree. Wolf was not deterred and pounded into the leaves with play. A memory flashed behind his eyes. A memory of playing with a twoleg blanket, beating into it with his hind claws. Then he remembered his dream and his fat kittypet self. He froze in fear and leaped off the leaves, fur bristling wildly. He crouched back and squeezed his eyes shut, wanting the bad dream, the bad feelings to go away.

Kuganon grabbed the little traumatized kit by the scruff. He played him down on the a beaten path which was made a beast with no ties to a cat. Kuga's smelled the ground, and scoffed a war was coming. One in which no clans would matter, only if they came together as one house would they stand. He shrugged perhaps it was time he joined a clan, he could hardly imagine a enemy such as that. IF it was just him it would be one thing, but he had a kit to protect. He wiped the worried look off of this face," You ready?" he said as if they were starting a wondrous adventure like Homeward Bound.

Wolf looked up at Kuga. "Ready for what?" he asked. "To go home? Back to the twolegs?" Wolf almost choked as he said the words. The very thought sickened him and weighed heavily on his shoulders. He could still see himself fat and lazy. He didn't want that. Wolf shuffled his paws nervously. Maybe he should say something to Kuga. Wolf took a deep breath. "Kuga I appreciate you helping me get home, but I don't want to go back to the twolegs." Wolf averted his eyes, not sure of Kuga's reaction. He only knew he couldn't go back there. He couldn't go back to the fate that awaited him there with the twolegs, as a kittypet.

Kuganon smiled and looked down at the kit," I know. remember I told you I been where you are now. This path leads into the woods. Now there many dangerous in the woods, but I am sure together we can face them." The wind pushed his fur and he looked inward towards the moving place. His eyes scanned the skyline and went back to the ground level. " I was asking with you are ready for the venture ahead?" he said with a laughed, "Because I am ready when you are."
