We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one.

Before sunlight had even pierced the darkness of the cave, Stagpaw was up. He had never been one to sleep in - an unusual trait, given the general consensus of late sleepers. Stagpaw rarely felt the effects of fatigue, and generally didn't feel the need to sleep aside from the bare minimum. Training to be a warrior was too important.
The determination had only faded slightly since his apprentice ceremony. On his first night, he hadn't slept a wink, preferring to tend to his nervous jitters and daydream about his warrior training. Of course, the resulting exhaustion hadn't suited him well in the morning. It hadn't been the first impression he was planning to make on his fellow apprentices, that's for sure.
Still, Stagpaw hadn't stopped getting up early. By the time his mentor had awoken, Stagpaw would always make sure to be groomed, nimble, and ready for the day. He refused to fall behind.
Stagpaw turned his eyes away from the watery threads of morning sunlight, choosing instead to scan the silent cave once more. He wasn't the only one up (he was pretty sure the dawn patrol had already left), but he couldn't go anywhere until given his mentor's consent. Shuffling his paws, the tom gave a short sigh. I hate waiting.

Quietpaw sneaked quietly back into camp after the dawn patrol had left. She had never thought they would leave. She had spent the whole night out of camp, resting in a tree. She yawned, exhausted as she slinked into the shadows on her way to the apprentice den. Quietpaw passed the fresh-kill pile, glancing at it briefly. She could eat something later after a quick nap. Quietpaw shoved her way into the apprentice den, intending to crawl into her nest. Though she had slept peacefully all night, she was still tired, exhausted by the walk back to camp. She glanced briefly at Stagpaw, registering he was awake before giving him the cold shoulder and collapsing in her nest. She rested her head on her paws and gave Stagpaw an annoyed glance before staring numbly at the entrance to the den. She never liked Stagpaw, thinking he was too loud like the rest of her clanmates. She groaned inwardly, praying he never spoke to her or even opening his mouth to say anything. Tags: Kai

Stagpaw's eyes were drawn by the movement as someone slunk into the den. Quietpaw entered, looking a little ruffled, but silent as always. True to her name, even in movement. She didn't seem too pleased to see him, but she was likely just worn out from... wherever she had been. Stagpaw had never really taken much notice of the small apprentice. It was just that - she tended to make herself practically blend into the shadows. In his early training days, Stagpaw had also been very distracted with his lessons.
"Morning, Quietpaw!" He chirped heartily, glad to have something to battle his boredom. He got up and trotted a few steps closer to the molly's nest before sitting down again, careful not to tread on any tails. Quietpaw had very pretty blue eyes, he noticed, now that he was closer. "You seem lonely. Where've you been?"
(( Sorry I have no experience making a character flirt - I'm not very good at this... ^^' ))

Quietpaw rolled her eyes up to glare at the apprentice towering over her. Why had he come over? It wasn't just that she didn't like him, but his loud voice hurt her ears. She twitched her ears in annoyance, wanting to block out the sound of his screeching voice. She waved her tail at the entrance to the apprentice den, making her answer very clear: "out". Quietpaw pushed herself to her paws, maybe she could find somewhere quieter to relax. Someplace without annoying furballs like Stagpaw. Quietpaw slid past Stagpaw easily, paws barely making a sound as she quietly slipped out of then den, trying to flee all the noise. Did anyone in this clan actually know how to be quiet? Quietpaw stopped at the entrance to the den, looking around for a quiet place to flee. Her stomach growled and she turned her paws to quietly bound to the fresh-kill pile where she chose a plump mouse. She easily swung it off the pile and in front of her face. She bent down to take a bite, quietly chewing, ears alert to the sound of noise, especially the sound of Stagpaw whether from his pawsteps for simply from his voice. All she knew, was she wanted to avoid him at any cost. (That's alright I would be very bad at flirting too) Tags: Kai

Featherpaw yawned sleepily and turned over. Why does morning have to come anyway? She wondered. I was on the dusk patrol last night, and I'm tired. She realized soon what had woken her up. Stagpaw. Her heart skipped a beat as she heard him say "-Quietpaw!" Oh. He was talking to Quietpaw. That would be it. She felt a twinge of jealousy. "You seem lonely. Where've you been?" Stagpaw asked, and Featherpaw's ear twitched. Quietpaw wasn't on the dawn patrol, so what had she been doing? Well, it wasn't any of Featherpaw's business . . . She cracked her eye open a slit, to see Quietpaw's tail retreat out of the den. She stretched, saying, "Hi, Stagpaw." (Yeah I'm not that great at it either. Understatement of the year. Also, sorry I took so long to post. I'm sick, I threw up yesterday . . . )
