Flutterpaw felt a flood of joy in her chest as yet another sibling emerged. Kestrelpaw's bright blue eyes were sparkling with happiness, and Flutterpaw rushed forward to greet him. She bumped her head against him affectionately.
"I haven't seen Sageleaf since the ceremony." Flutterpaw replied, tapping her siblings playfully with her tail. "It is only our first day, after all." She sat down beside the pair, feeling even happier now that two of her siblings were nearby. She was closer to Kestrelpaw, Chervilpaw, and Distantpaw than to most of her siblings, though they were all nearly joined at the hip. Warriors always talked about how the huge litter would make an unstoppable fighting force in the future. "Echofrost might be out on dawn patrol." She ventured. She had only just been given her apprentice name; she didn't know how mentors worked.

(Gah, I feel so terrible, it's so uneventful! e.e)
Kestrelpaw purred as Flutterpaw and Chevrilpaw rubbed against him, he nodded his agreement to Flutterpaw's statement. "No I haven't heard anything from Ryetail yet, although I'm pretty sure he won't wait too long. I can't wait to get out and actually see the territory!"
He kneaded the ground, excited to finally be an apprentice, even if nothing had really happened since they became apprentices. An idea struck Kestrelpaw as he stood, and he purred gleefully, turning to his sisters he mewed, "Hey, since were apprentices, we can go out of camp at least a little ways, right?"
He flicked his tail, thrilled that perhaps they could go out and explore together. "We wouldn't go far, maybe just to the top of the ravine? Look around a bit, I'll bet there's an awesome view from the top!"

(If you guys want we could always do a thread when they're a little more experienced)
It was comforting to be engulfed in their scent like this, feel her brother purring as the three of them brushed against one another in the moments before she sprung away. Chervilpaw couldn't help shooting a glance over her shoulder at the dark stillness of the camp entrance. Her stomach fluttered nervously but she swallowed and forced herself to nod. Like Flutterpaw said Echofrost was probably out on patrol and the edge of the ravine was barely outside of camp.
"I suppose it couldn't hurt." She cleared her throat and her voice came out a little clearer. "I mean they'd probably rather have us up there than standing out here watching the entrance."

( Yeah, though I'm fine with finishing this one too. We can wrap it up, if you want. ) ( Though, I'd feel bad 'cause Kestrel just joined. )
Flutterpaw hesitated. The obediant part of her, the part that ceaselessly obeyed their mother and strove to be a good apprentice, was telling her this was a bad idea. After all, they had only been made apprentices the previous day - they were still practically kits.
And yet, the playful and adventurous part urged her to go with her siblings to the ravine. It would be her first time out of camp, and away from the somewhat suffocating cave that made Roseclan's home. Not only that, but she would get to spend some more time with Chervilpaw and Kestrelpaw.
"Okay!" She nodded, brushing off any remaining doubt. "That would be fun!"

(Ah, don't worry about it, I'm fine with getting this one wrapped up.) (Lol, I keep typing 'Kestrelkit' instead of 'Kestrelpaw'.)
Grinning, Kestrelpaw bounded out of camp, calling to his sisters as he went, "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Adrenaline rushed through his veins as he flew out of the entrance to the camp, he needed to run or do something to use the energy that was pent up inside him.
The answer to his need for exercise, the rocky slope of the ravine towered off to the side, egging Kestrelpaw to scale it. Sprinting over, Kestrelpaw took to the rocks with a bound scrabbling for purchase as soon as he hit the first rock. He took the next leap with a little more care, not wanting to be a pile of scrapes and bruises at the bottom. After struggling the first few leaps, Kestrelpaw finally got the hang of it and was soon bounding from rock to rock with little to no hesitation.
When he reached the top he took in the surrounding area with eager eyes. Granted, not much could be seen over the tops of the trees, although the forest wasn't too dense around the camp there was only so much you could see. But to Kestrelpaw, it was heaven, he could see birds flying in and over the tree tops, hear the scolding cry of a squirrel, and feel the breeze ruffle his fur. There was so much out there, so many places to see, so many adventures waiting to be had. Kestrelkit needed to share this with his sisters.
He leaned over the side of the slope, calling to his sisters, "Hurry up! You have to see this, it's really amazing!"

Rather than jumping from rock to rock Chervilpaw picked her way up the slope carefully at first. The next moment she was scrabbling wildly to keep up with her brother, sending a flurry of dust and small stones down in her wake. The sides of the ravine soon veered nearly vertical so she had no choice but to mimic her brother moving from sleek, dew bitten, stone to stone. On the last stone she realized she’d veered away from her brother’s path and the next leap was not a small one. The breeze buffeted at her fur and she’d half turned to find an easier route when her brother spoke.
“Coming! We’re not all half squirrel.”
She shook her head, swallowed and gathered her leg under her for a mighty leap. She uncoiled her legs, left the safety of the stone and her stomach flipped as her forepaws scrabbled onto the rock, claws tearing against the hard surface. For a moment she hung there and then with a mighty heave she pulled herself up shaking onto the ravine. The camp spread out before her looking nearly as small as a trail of ants scurrying away. It would be a pretty sight when new-leaf stole back the greenery with the wild roses in bloom for now it looked just as desolate and just as bare as ever; it was only smaller.
“Climb the ravine he said. The view will be great he said.” She muttered but she was purring all the same. Their first apprentice adventure!

Flutterpaw darted after her siblings, excitement brewing in her belly. She hopped after Chervilpaw, scrabbling for a grip. Her sister did the same, and Flutterpaw protested indignantly when dust and grit hit her face. She skittered sideways to avoid the shower of pebbles and dirt. Even so, she was laughing.
Flutterpaw found it rather difficult to make her way up the steep slope. Her scrawny legs trembled with the effort, and she lost her footing multiple times on the way up. They should have named me Gracepaw. After a couple of minutes, and a lot of help from protruding roots, Flutterpaw reached the top. Pulling herself up beside Kestrelpaw and Chervilpaw, she turned her gaze back towards the camp.
Her breath caught.
Wow.
Admittedly, the underbrush was a little too thick to see past well. But they were so high up! Rather than staring at the camp, which she could now see through the crack traveling up the entrance, Flutterpaw found her eyes drawn to the sky. It stretches above them, shining through the twiggy canopy in pearly morning hues. The white sunlight glimmering through the clouds left spots in her vision, and yet she couldn't tear her eyes away.
Amazing...

Cherrypaw bounded back into camp. What are those mouse-brains doing? She sighed and padded over to the apprentices' den. She peered at the apprentices through the opening of the den. And there was Krestlepaw. A shame that he was the brother of the two mouse-brains. Cherrypaw decided to take a nap.

(I would not be adverse to ending this rp right here, with them curling up together for a nap or something, or getting ratted out by Cherrypaw to some cat.)(Oh, the siblings are outside now, @asiandumbledore)
Kestrelpaw purred as his sister's reached the top, oblivious to how much more difficult it was for Flutterpaw to make the climb. It wasn't that he wasn't caring, he just simply didn't think that Flutterpaw's small size would make the climb more challenging for her. Kestrelpaw laughed at Chevrilpaw's comment, rubbing his head against hers.
"Come on, it's not all that bad," he stretched his tail to point away from camp, "besides, look at how much there is out there! Think of all the things we could see!"
The vastness of the forest was what Kestrelpaw couldn't get enough of. The possibilities that were out there were endless. Adventures where out there waiting to be had, but for the moment Kestrelpaw was content to sit with his sisters as the world rolled on.

Far below, a small brown shape slunk back across the barren landscape towards the opening of the camp. A knot dropped into Chervilpaw’s belly.
“Is that Cherrypaw?” She asked.
She looked between her siblings both each carried a look of elation and awe; it would be a shame to cut this moment short. Chervilpaw couldn’t quite enjoy the sight of the vast forest stretching on and on or the gentle caress of the breeze on her face the way her siblings seemed to. We’re not supposed to be up here… the thought rolled over and over in her mind until her thoughts and her eyes drifted back down the rockface they settled on the cave.

( Fine with me - this isn't really going anywhere anyway. x3 )
Blinking against the light, Flutterpaw finally tore her eyes from the sky. She followed Kestrelpaw's gaze, oblivious to their fellow apprentice wandering below. A purr built in her chest. That did sound exciting. The words birthed a spontaneous fantasy in her mind. The three of them, trekking through those trees and beyond, traveling to unknown and amazing places that had never been seen before. It was the sort of childish, unreachable daydream that often captured her thoughts. She couldn't help but be entranced by the idea of such freedom, and of so many wonders to be seen.
"Yeah." She breathed, feeling excitement zip through her pelt. Maybe not now, but the future held all kinds of opportunities. As unrealistic as it was, Flutterpaw couldn't help but hope.
After all, anything's possible.
