fawn Cherrynose led the way to badger knoll before smiling, this was her first apprentice! Would she be a good mentor? Would she be bad? Cherrynose shook her head before she thought any deeper and got lost in thought. Last thing she needed was embarrasing herself. "Alright fawnpaw let's get down to basics!" Cherrynose smiled hopefully she wouldn't make a fool of herself. Mistake were going to be made but she was hoping to make little to none and be a respectable figure in her apprentice's eyes. Well gotta start to find out?

Fawnpaw twitched her tail nervously as she followed her newly assigned mentor to badger knoll. She was Keen to impress cherrynose and decided long before they left the Roseclan camp site she would do everything she was told too. Fawnpaw wanted to become the best warrior ever. Fawnpaws eyes lit up with excitement as she thought what they may do first. Would they practice hunting techniques? Or maybe go see the boundaries of Roseclan territory! Fawnpaw could almost not hold back the excitement she felt. Suddenly as cherrynose spoke Fawnpaws ears nervously flicked back. She quickly shook her head regaining herself. Before answering cherrynose, Fawnpaw puffed out her chest proudly. She was not going to miss her chance to impress her mentor! "Y....Yes ma'am." She said stumbling over her words as not being able to get them out fast enough consumed with excitement and nervousness. " What're we doing first?" This time more clear. Fawnpaw stared at her mentor anxiously waiting for an answer.

It was simple and a neccesary task at that too. "Hunting." Cherrynose smiled and flicked her tail before taking a deep breathe and looking forward, "I'll teach you the basics." she meowed getting in a crouched position, tail barely touching the ground. "Try to copy my form, your paws have to be light and tail raised just enough not to trail on the ground lest you want to startle all the prey." cherrynose said clearly and with a little amusement at the end as she sat up and gave a curious glance to her eager apprentice. Things were starting out good, hopefully it stayed good. |
