Personality:
Friendly It's in Nightprowl's nature to be kind and sociable. Unless he is given a reason to be hostile, Nightprowl will generally display a demeanor of interest and joviality. He enjoys socializing with his clanmates (especially apprentices, given that his fellow warriors tend to be older and more stern), and can often be found tagging along with groups just to talk.
Playful Nightprowl's kitlike demeanor never really left him with the earning of his apprentice and warrior names. He is known to be energetic and cheerful, taking joy in the smallest of things and entertaining himself in simple and quirky ways (such as chasing a fallen autumn leaf). While this attitude can endear him to some, and soften the edges of a harsh pessimist, other can find the tom to be irritating and naive. Nightprowl doesn't take any of this to heart, however, choosing he would rather ignore those who choose to criticize him.
Loyal One of Nightprowl's strongest characteristics is loyalty. By default, the young warrior is loyal to each and every one of his clanmates. However, when someone earns Nightprowl's trust (which isn't the easiest thing to do), he repays this with a devotion that is unmatched by most cats. He is extremely loyal to (and in some cases, overprotective of) his friends. Nightprowl isn't a cat you have to worry about betraying you.
Cautious Wariness has always been a rather significant trait of Nightprowl's nature. Despite his open friendliness with his clanmates (especially apprentices and kits), Nightprowl always maintains his guard around others. It's subtle, and generally goes unnoticed except by those of keen sight and intuition. He rarely admits his deeper, more troubled emotions (which are securely protected and concealed behind layers of humor and childishness). While he will certainly make friends with others, he will usually avoid opening up to them to a certain extent.
Wrathful During some of his darker moments, Nightprowl can actually be quite angry. He tends to hold a grudge longer than most. While he has grown accustomed to ridicule concerning his humorous nature, insults or actions on a more personal level can incite a chilling fury that could shake even the most hardened of warriors. Rather than expressing rage in an explosive and messy manner, Nightprowl goes silent. When angered, Nightprowl turns into even more of a shadow than he already is, avoiding social contact and keeping to himself.
Witty One of Nightprowl's favorite pastimes is inciting laughter. He loves to make jokes, and will occasionally do spectacular or amusing stunts to entertain others, especially kits. He takes joy in making puns (even bad ones), even if they elicit more irritation than amusement.
Affectionate While physical contact certainly wouldn't qualify as a necessity, Nightprowl actually enjoys spending time with those he trusts and cares for. He's actually quite cuddly too (though you'll never hear that from him), once he's gotten past his own lack of trust and fear of others.
Clever One of Nightprowl's most useful mental tools is his intelligence. Despite what impression his childish nature may give, Nightprowl is quite smart. He often utilized this skill when hunting, primarily in the form of stealth and anticipation of an event. He is also tactical in battle, able to analyze his opponent and use any disadvantage (or advantage) against them. This quick-thinking also fuels his humor and ability to read others' inflections.
Lonely In spite of his enthusiastic and joking nature, Nightprowl often finds himself lonely. His lack of a blood family certainly contributes to this, though he can't help but feel isolated among his own clanmates. Despite all his bravado, Nightprowl can be influenced by ridicule (and is more influenced than he will admit). He subconsciously seeks the affection and approval of others, and longs for the company of his clanmates and friends.
Appearance:
Build Nightprowl's build is lighter than most his age. He is lean and small, and his legs are a little shorter than average. His delicate frame allows him to slink through undergrowth with ease. His steady tail and soft paws let him balance well on branches, and make travel via treetops easy.
Pelt Nightprowl has inky black fur of average length. There are no tabby markings or lowlights to mar the spread of ebony.
Eyes Nightprowl's eyes are a leafy green, with hints of amber flecked around the pupil.
Other Nightprowl's nose is black as well, though his pawpads are salmon pink. He has a rounded face and a small nose. His rather pointed features and large eyes give the kitten-like tom an elfin appearance.

History: Nightprowl wasn't born Ivyclan (a trait he shares with many of his clanmates), but rather brought to it as a kit. His loner mother, who he does not remember in detail, traveled to Ivyclan territory seeking shelter and safety. She was generously accepted, but a lifetime of malnutrition and sickness soon took her. Her kit was left alone, though he was quickly taken in by another queen {needed!}. Nightkit was named and raised as an Ivyclan cat until the day he received his warrior name.
Fears:
Abandonment Despite his secure position within his clan, Nightprowl has always feared being left alone. Whether it be that he is abandoned by his friends and clanmates (which, in his mind, isn't improbable), or having them taken from him by death itself (just like his mother), Nightprowl harbors a deep fear of being truly alone. Having no family left, Nightprowl is afraid of what the loss of his clan could mean for him.
