Right now I have Mistpaw, there's a bit of an age gap between the two, but I bet they could be friends if you wanted.

If you're looking for an apprentice I know Mistpaw and Burnpaw, roleplayed by burnstar , don't have mentors at the moment. If you get in contact with one of the roleplayers perhaps one would like Ashfall as a mentor. Burnpaw may be better for straight mentor and apprentice plots as she's younger and Mistpaw is going for the medicine cat apprentice position. If you do want her to take one of those cats as an apprentice let Umbra or myself know so we can update the allegiances.

I have three Ivyclan cats Laurelheart, Mothnose and Whimbrelfur. I think Mothnose and Ashfall could be friends, he's older but he's also pretty naive. Whimbrelfur has a much more abrasive personality which makes her a little tricky to get along with. She's very close in age to Ashfall so they would have shared a den for most of their lives which would make an established relationship easy to do. Depending on their past interactions they could be anything from friends to outright enemies.

Did you have anything in mind for the betrayal plot?

I think Mothnose and Ashfall would get along pretty well and be good friends. Maybe they could go hunting together or sunbathe and gossip? Also wow to his character application! It's really impressive and well thought out.

An established relationship would definitely be easy to do and I think it could be fun to have the straddle the line between friends and enemies; maybe later something could push them directly towards enemies or friends depending on what we want to happen. They could have some banter that could be not so friendly at times. Maybe we could do something with Whimbrelfur's average hunting skill and make her resent Ashfall somehow or have Ashfall make Whimbrelfur insecure about herself.

For the betrayal plot, I'm open for anything and have lots of ideas. One idea is that Ashfall meets a loner (or rogue pretending to be a loner) during a border patrol/while out hunting and they become friends; Ashfall could eventually bring the cat back to camp to get them in the clan. This cat could have just been using Ashfall to gain access to the camp in order to steal prey, steal herbs, attack Echostar, get intel, or anything else we could come up with. I like this one a lot because there are a lot of different directions we could go with the loner/rogue. Tying back into the site wide plot, the loner/rogue could be gathering intel on the clan so that their clowder could attack and gain territory; one this betrayal would really hurt Ashfall, especially if she thought they were good friends, and she'd blame herself for whatever bad event happens; other clan cats may blame her as well, thinking that she knew what the rogue/loner was planning and that she helped them. Another idea is a lover betrayal where maybe a tom starts expressing interest in Ashfall and flirting with her but he's just doing it to make himself feel better, get over a heartbreak of his own, or something else. He may even use Ashfall's love for him to convince her to do some suspicious things or things for his own benefit. Later, he may reveal that he never loved her or she may find him with another she-cat. Either way it would really hurt her. We could bring my other character Briarheart into a betrayal plot as well, though he's in Roseclan, not Ivyclan; he's definitely down to get dirty. I'm open for anything

Oh gee, if you run with that loner/rogue Betrayal plot, I volunteer my Raven!  In order to make it work, it would have to start after the rogue/loner group has formed for the site plot, as I can't really see Raven putting himself in a position where he would be scrutinized by other cats unless he had a very good reason.  

Umbra I think Ashfall would easily trust him! And that's alright that it would start later on; we could always have them meet early on briefly, just so they recognize each other later on and she'd be more likely to trust him. Plus, with the plot happening later on, we would have time to plan it out! Or we can always wait to plan in the moment

carolion, True! I would love to pull Raven out, he's been sitting around gathering dust for a while. I think it would be awesome to have them meet before the fact.

Umbra I might make a loner as well that he could have the opportunity to interact with. Message me whenever you're free to start plotting!

I really love the idea of Ashfall and Whimbrelfur being half friends, half enemies. I do think we could play with Whimbrelfur's insecurities about her hunting skill, she's naturally quite resentful of better cats and could get quite competitive leading to greater insecurities. If you end up going with one of the betrayal plots we could use that to push them further apart. If you go with the loner plot Whimbrelfur would definitely be suspicious about any new cats in camp which would drive a wedge between them from the start. Later when the loner reveals their true colours Whimbrelfur and Ashfall could become bitter enemies or reconcile a bit. If you go with the lover plot I would be up for her being the other cat or she could perhaps having a history with the same tom. Maybe Ashfall could think she's just being bitter about her own failed relationship but really she's trying to stop Ashfall from making the same mistake?

Leopard do you want to create a new thread or have them interact on an open thread?

I really like that idea as well; it leaves a lot of room for us to change direction if we want. Rn I think I'm leaning towards the rogue/loner plot as it could get a lot of characters involved but we could always have the lover betrayal plot as a subplot; perhaps that's why she ends up trusting the loner/rogue so quickly. She's looking for love and to feel like she's worthy of being loved. Would you be up for that Umbra ? If we do both, after the loner/rogue plot Whimbrelfur could try to be there for Ashfall since the she-cat is in such a delicate and emotional state after everything that has happened.

Maybe we could make Ashfall and Whimbrelfur having been good friends as kits/apprentices but as Ashfall became a better hunter Whimbrelfur grew to resent her, causing them to become frenemies.

carolion, I don't have him in any threads at the moment so it would have to be a new one. I've got a few replies to do so would you mind starting it?

I think they would need to be pretty close friends for Whimbrelfur to support Ashfall after something like that. She would see bringing a stranger into the clan, especially if the stranger goes on to betray them, as really selfish, stupid and almost as a personal insult. It would be great for her character growth to put her values aside to support a friend but she's far more likely to shun the friend and never really forgive her. I can see her grudgingly supporting Ashfall out of leftover loyalty but Whimbrelfur wouldn't really move on from this.

I think starting as friends as kits and then growing apart as they grew older. Do you want them to be more friends or more enemies? I would prefer for them to be friends but also rivals with some jealousy and resentment.

Leopard I'll get on the thread  would you prefer for it to be private or open? I'll start it as private and then we can change it if you want.

I really like the idea of them being good friends when they were younger but maybe have drifted apart as they've gotten older; that way they could still have support for each other and when the betrayal plot happens it could cause a lot of confusion of how to feel due to how close they used to be but how apart they are now. They could have a bit of friendly rivalry that may get in the way occasionally.

I'm good with private, I'll work on a reply now. 

I really like the sound of that for Whimbrelfur and Ashfall. Might have to wait a bit to get it started, real life is getting a bit busy for me at the moment.
